How to clean ur cosmetic brushes

Q: Moni, how do I clean my makeup brushes???


As you already know, anything you use on your face should be clean. If you are constantly having breakouts, unclean brushes may be the cause??? So I'm gonna give you few tips on how to clean your brushes.


A: Olive Oil is great when it come to removing make-up from your brushes. So gently stroke each brush with a little olive oil, while massaging the tips with your fingers. Then you can take some Johnsons & Johnsons Baby wash (Gentle Treatment) to cleanse them. Make sure you keep your brushed in a downward position so the water and suz wont effect the brush adhesive holding it together.


If all the above is too much work then honey just get you some good ol brush cleaner. I love M.A.C. brush cleanser its reallly effective!

Liquid Liner (winged eye)

Gosh Natasha Poly who stars on one of the six i-D Pre-Fall 2011 covers lensed by Willy Vanderperre is rocking a cute winged eye. Do you want the PERFECT eyeliner then if you ask me ditch the pencil and go liquid honey! Liquid liner is better because it goes on ultra smooth and looks much neater. It also makes a winged eye more achievable!





Oh and make sure you get water-proof liquid liner...as we all know drooling eyes is not cute!




Personally I love Avon liquid liner but M.A.C. has what the call fluidline which is also good. Urban Decay has what they call 24/7 liquid liner that is simply everlasting! Or you can just go to your local drug store and get covergirl, Almay, or maybelline liquid liners because they are all awesome as well!

Move out the way M.A.C. because INGLOT is coming for ya!!!

Inglot Cosmetics is getting alot of the MUA's panties in a bunch, including mine lol! INGLOT Company was established over 25 years ago by Wojtek Inglot, a young chemist working at that time in R&D department in pharmaceutical company.

Inglot cosmetics is already huge and well known in Australia, Europe and basically everywhere but USA! However that is quickly changing and Inglot stores our poping up everywhere. Well anyhoo, Do you have a good skincare system/ routine? If not, you should because healthy skin is important.

So with that being said, let me tell ya my number one rule that I learned the hard way...REMOVE your makeup every night!!!! Trust me, you don't want to wake up to a nightmare of clogged pores giving you acne as a result.

Secondly, use a good cleanser on your face every morning and night. That doesn't mean you have to go out and spend top dollar on cleaners. Your local drug store probably has what you need. However if you do not have a good cleanser you can just use a gentle soap such as Dove.



You should also moisturize prior to applying your makeup and before you go nite-nite.

Another good rule is to ALWAYS apply make-up to a fresh and clean face. If you don't, your make-up will not look so good as it should.
