When I was a sweet, loving, good, quiet little girl ( yeah, yeah I know...Ok I was sweet, and loving but quiet I was not and good only sometimes) but back to what I was saying lol...My Mother and I would put egg on our face. As a child I did not understand why but now I do and I'm here to tell ya why you should do the same.
If you have mild acne or extremely oily skin or you just want to have healthy glowing skin then this home remedy is for YOU! Oh and good news this WONT put a dent in your wallet. The home remedy starts with adding eggs to your grocery list. Using Egg as a face mask is good for oily skin. I swear you will notice an immediate reduction in oils. The egg white draws the oils out, while the egg yolk moisturizes. Using a Egg mask also works very well for firming the skin.
It's easy just use ONE egg and beat it just like you would if you were going to scramble it. Then apply the egg all over your face with your fingers. let it dry. Once the egg is dry it will harden on your face so be careful about making any big facial movements. After 20 min of it being dry you can just wash it off your face.
You can use the Egg as a facial mask as many times as you want. I only do it once a week but it depends on you and how oily your skin is. Another benefit to using egg is that is completely safe and has NO harsh chemicals!
Q: Ummm Monica, what is Accutan?
A: Accutane is a prescription drug that is most commonly used in the treatment of moderate to severe acne. Accutane is the most effective treatment that exists for solving severe acne problems. Accutane is amazing when it come to clearing up current breakouts, it can also prevent future ones. It has been found to be very effective for helping patients when other medications and methods don't work. Dermatologist usually use the treatment after everything else has failed. Accutane entered the market in 1982 and has since been given to over two million people. For more information go to http://www.drugs.com/accutane.html or http://www.ehow.com/about_5055279_accutane.html
Speaking from experience here is what my friend has to say.......
If you struggled through break-outs, acne etc you know how annoying it is to care for your face. You wash and wash (which is bad by the way), and still manage to have those clogged pores. If nothing over the counter works to tame your acne and breakouts, and prescription medications did not work, most likely, your dermatologist will put you on Accutan, a strong medication to help you fight those annoying acne breakouts. Now I won’t be preaching to the choir, because if you are reading this, you probably start using accutan or are about to use accutan or know someone using accutan . So here is the way to care for your face and skin while you are on it (which should be quiet different than when you were not on accutan. For one, you SHOULD NOT use benzyol peroxide product or cleanser with acne fighting ingredients’ since your face will dry out from the medicine and it might be harsh for your face!! And getting rid of your acne will take 5 months when you are on accutan (you may need to do another round of meds if it doesn’t work, but lets hope it does).
In the morning, wash your face with warm water (NOT HOT), and DO NOT scrub your face…gentle goes a long way since your skin will be too delicate. My friend who was on accutain swears by Cetaphil. But Aveeno makes great cleansers too. Remember not to wash your face for too long, 30 seconds is plenty enough. Remember to buff the dry skin on your lips away (you could also use your toothbrush for this)…..THAT’S IT. Pat your skin dry (DO NOT SCRUB), and put a moisturizer. My girl swears by Aveeno moisturizer and cetaphil makes great one too.
In the evening wash your face the same way (if you have makeup remember to remove that). If you are drying out severely, use heavier moisturizer such as aquaphore so it absorbs over night.
Remember, this is a medication that you use for few months so don’t get discouraged when you have a “bad face day” J As usual, you will do your monthly blood tests, you may get tired and have some joint aches and scar easier. One more thing, no waxing for you (I’m sure you know that, but I had to repeat that again). If you are a habitual lip licker (lol I have to call out my friend on that), remember to stop doing that, you will not help but look crazy (her words not mine) lol. And drinking lots and lots of water. Remember, this is temporary so try not to get down every time you look at your skin.
Got split ends, dry brittle hair, hair breakage, and over processed hair? Or is your hair pretty healty and you just want to keep it that way....Well, there is a product that I believe is a MUST HAVE!!! ooooh I just love it. Its HAIR MAYONNAISE by Organic Roots Stimulator.
This product is an intensive conditioning treatment with whole egg protein, wheat germ oil, Sunflower Oil, Soy Beans, Amino Acids and Olive Oil. These rich ingredients will carry minerals and nutrients into cells giving your hair moisture, and strength. Oh and it smells pretty good too lol
After shampooing, apply a generous amount of Hair Mayonnaise all through your hair from roots to ends. They want you to cover your head with a plastic cap and let it process under a warm dryer or warm towel for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. However, I just put a plastic bag on my head and let it sit for a couple of hours while I tend to my son's or Blog hehehee
Anyhoo, this product is amazing and I swear it will improve your hair a great deal! You can get it from any beauty supply store. Or just go to http://www.organicrootstimulator.com/products/11

All you need is:
The picture below is of one of my BFF's (Lena), I just simply used blush, tinted lipgloss and eyeliner and just that gave her a gorgeous look...how long did it take...umm less than 2 min.

Well as always, I hope this was helpful and I hope you start your day with 3 beauty enhancing things that takes less then 2 min....
Do you want to maximize the intensity of your eyeshadow?
Do you want you eyeshadow to last for hours?
Are you tired of fallout? (eye shadow falling beneath your eye and on your cheeks)
Well then honey you MUST use a Eyeshadow BASE before you apply your eyeshadow. Base is also slightly sticky and that helps with eyeshadow falling all over the place.
Eyeshadow BASE is easy to apply, you can just use the tip of your finger and apply it smoothly all over your lid. If you are new to make-up just get a white and neutral color base to start out with. I suggest you use NYX base. http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/products/eyes/eye-shadow-base/eye-shadow-base
M.A.C. has a product called PAINT POT, You can use paint pot as a base because its a highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long-wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/154/1573/Paint-Pot/index.tmpl
NYX Jumbo Pencil are great as a base as well. I use these when I'm going for a dramatic look such as a smokey eye. For example if I am doing a deep rich purple I use a purple Jumbo pencil first and then apply the eye shadow. Its great as a base because its made with mineral oil and powder and has the same consistency of a base. MUA's (Check on the right side of my blog for a list of make-up Artist lingo) call them grease paint sticks. Most good make-up brands make them such as M.A.C. and MakeUp Forever. NYX Jumbo pencil is LESS expensive tho!!
If you want to take it a step further for Flawless eyeshadow...then use a Primer first before the base.
Q: Monica what the HECK is PRIMER?
A: Don't worry, I'll explain in my next topic hehehee
Well as always, I hope this was helpful!

When I'm making one of my favorite dish which is fetttucine Alfredo with grilled chicken, E.V.O.O (extra virgin olive oil) is perfect for my pasta Oh...sorry if your month is watering a bit ....I have to remember this is a beauty blog so I'm about to tell you why Olive Oil is one of the best beauty secrets! In addition to making food taste great, its a natural, hypoallergenic way to moisturize skin, and more!
Extra virgin olive oil can provide strong antioxidants, like Vitamins A and E that help repair and renew skin that has been damaged. Sun and Air, smoke, and smog can damage you skin if your always exposed to it.
Nail and Cuticle Care: Extra virgin olive oil is GREAT for dry nails and cuticles. Just rub a few drops into the cuticle area and around the nail. Your Cuticles will stay plump and moist, and your nails will have a pretty natural shine.
Eye Makeup Remover: I swear using E.V.O.O is the BEST way to remove make-up! No hard rubbing is involved. All I simply do is a light swipe and that effectively removes eye makeup without irritating the delicate skin around the eye area. Another great thing is that when used consistently, olive oil can soften the skin around the eyes and smooth out wrinkles.
Want smooth silky skin? Add some Olive Oil in your perfumed lotions. You can also add a few drops of Olive Oil in your bath water. Watch your step when you coming out tho...don't want ya to be slipping and sliding everywhere lol! If your face is very dry, after washing your face lightly add olive oil all over your face.
Oh and btw the E.V.O.O I am currently using and love is by Bertolli. I get a big Gallon of it from Sam's Club.
Hope this was helpful!
